The room

See the room before you book

A short tour in three stops: where you lie down, where the wax is kept warm, and what is opened for you.

  • The treatment room: a bed with a fresh paper sheet and a folded towel, a stool, a bench and a window
    Stop 1

    The room

A bed with a fresh paper sheet and a folded towel, a stool for your esthetician and a bench for your things. You stay covered except for the area being waxed.

  • A wax warmer with honey-colored wax and a jar of wooden spatulas, with the bed and stool behind
    Stop 2

    The warmer

The wax is kept warm and steady beside the bed. Your esthetician tests it on her own wrist first, and takes a new spatula from the jar for every pass.

  • A tray with three sealed pouches, a dark towel, scissors, tweezers and a nail file
    Stop 3

    Fresh tools

Tweezers and scissors come out of a sealed pouch for each client, and are put away after your visit, never left out for the next one.

Prep and aftercare

Prep, the room and aftercare

The same four steps for most services. Your esthetician confirms them at your visit.

  • Before you come

Hair about a quarter inch long. Clean, dry skin with no lotion on the area, and no scrubs or exfoliating products for two days before.

  • In the room

Your esthetician says each step before she does it, tests the wax on her own wrist and pauses whenever you ask.

  • Right after

A cool compress or a soothing mask, and a few minutes to sit. Wear loose clothes home.

  • The next two days

No hot baths, saunas, tanning or hard exercise. Sunscreen outside, and don't scrub or pick.

Questions

Short answers before you book

Can I just walk in?

For brows, lip, chin and underarms, yes, Tuesday to Saturday. The walk-in list closes 45 minutes before we close. Everything else is by appointment, so your time is held.

Can we all be booked together?

Yes. Ask for a family block when you book and we'll line up back-to-back times with different estheticians, so everyone is done in one afternoon. Blocks of three or more take a deposit.

How long should my hair be?

About a quarter inch, or the length of a grain of rice. Skip shaving for about two weeks before. If it's shorter, tell us; we may suggest waiting.

What do you do to keep tools clean?

A new wooden spatula for every pass, and tweezers and scissors that come out of a sealed pouch for each client. Surfaces are wiped between visits, and the bed gets a fresh paper sheet.

How does pricing work?

Prices aren't printed on this site. They depend on the service, how long it takes and any add-ons, and the booking page shows them when you choose a service, before you confirm.
